Terms & Disclaimer
Effective date and last updated: October 28, 2026
These terms and this disclaimer apply to your use of the Signal Lab website.
1. Who we are
Signal Lab (https://signal-lab-jet.vercel.app) is operated by Quantum Data Technologies Ltd. (“QDT”, “Signal Lab”, “we”, “us”), 3200-650 West Georgia Street, Vancouver, BC V6B 4P7, Canada. Contact: signal-lab@qdt.ai.
By using the site you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. These terms apply to Signal Lab only; QDT's enterprise platform is governed by its own terms at qdt.ai.
2. Information and education only; no advice
Signal Lab publishes information about financial datasets, tools, models and resources for education and general information. Nothing on the site, in our emails, videos, social posts, catalog files or code is financial, investment, legal, tax or any other professional advice, a recommendation or solicitation to buy or sell any security, crypto asset or other instrument, or a statement that anything suits your situation. Examples and outputs are informational, not buy or sell recommendations.
Signal Lab does not act as a fiduciary, advisor, broker or agent. We do not guarantee any result, return or outcome. Past performance and backtests do not predict future results. All decisions you make are your own responsibility. Do your own research and speak to a qualified, registered professional before you make a financial decision.
3. Third-party providers and their terms
Information about free tiers, limits, prices, licenses and terms belongs to the providers and can change without notice. We compare each listing with the provider's own page and show the date we last did so (the “verified” date), but we do not promise that any listing is accurate, complete or current. No dataset is guaranteed to be complete or error-free.
You are responsible for reading and following each provider's terms, license, acceptable-use rules and rate limits, and for any legal requirements where you live (for example, some providers or trading platforms are not available in your country or province). Free access is not permission to reuse or redistribute data.
4. No hosting of provider datasets
We link to providers; we do not host or redistribute their datasets. We may show short illustrative samples, quotations from provider terms and code examples that show how to call a provider's API, with attribution where a provider requires it.
5. Names, trademarks and no endorsement
Provider, product and company names and logos belong to their owners and are used only to identify them. Signal Lab is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any provider. Listing a provider is not an endorsement or recommendation, and providers have not necessarily reviewed their listing.
6. AI-generated content
Some content on Signal Lab, including text and the video host Dale, is AI-generated. Dale is an AI-generated character, not a real person. AI-generated content is an analytical aid, not a statement of fact, and it can contain mistakes. We do not guarantee its accuracy, completeness or suitability for any specific decision. If you find an error, tell us at signal-lab@qdt.ai.
7. Our content
Signal Lab's own text, graphics and code are owned by Quantum Data Technologies Ltd. or its licensors. The Signal Lab name, logo and the Dale character are not licensed to you. Third-party content stays under its owners' terms.
8. Using the site and catalog files
You may read the site and use catalog.json, catalog.csv and llms.txt for lawful purposes at reasonable request rates. Do not attack, overload or try to break the site, and do not use it to break the law or a provider's terms.
9. No warranties; provided “as is”
The site and everything on it are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the extent the law allows. This includes implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that information is accurate, complete, reliable or current, that the site will be available, uninterrupted, secure or free of harmful components, that errors will be corrected, or that listed resources will stay available or free. Some places do not allow certain limits; those limits apply only to the extent permitted.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, QDT and its directors, officers, employees and contributors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or trading losses, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site or any linked resource, or from relying on information on the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Links
We do not control third-party sites and are not responsible for them.
12. Corrections and takedown requests
If something is wrong or out of date, or infringes your rights, or you are a provider who wants a correction or removal, email signal-lab@qdt.ai with the page and the problem. We review requests and reply as soon as we reasonably can. We may keep information that is accurate and not defamatory.
13. Changes
We may change these terms and will post the new version here with a new date. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept it.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The courts of British Columbia have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.
15. General
If part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement about your use of the site.
